Three suspects charged in connection with Andrews mobile home fire

  ANDREWS, SC - Georgetown County Sheriff's Investigators have charged Marissa Cohen , James Miller and Randy Collins with one count each of Conspiracy to Commit Arson and Arson in the First Degree.

On March 29, 2014 Georgetown County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the report of a mobile home fire at 10 James Drive in the Andrews Community of Georgetown County which resulted in the death of a 12-year-old male.

As a result of the investigation, Georgetown County Sheriff's Investigators in conjunction with investigators of the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) determined the fire was deliberately set.

Throughout the course of the investigation, Marissa Cohen, the mother of the 12 year old victim, failed to cooperate with law enforcement. Cohen established residency in Kentucky shortly after the incident.

On June 6, 2014 Cohen was taken into custody by Kentucky State Police. On June 6, 2014 Miller was taken into custody and transported to the Georgetown County Detention Center. Collins surrendered to law enforcement on June 9, 2014.
