A fatal accident Friday kills one College of Charleston student, putting another behind bars.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol Trooper Billy Elder, 18-year-old Henry Sims Farr was driving on I-95 northbound near mile marker 106 in Clarendon County when he veered off the left-hand side of the road.  Farr hit a tree and the car flipped.  Five people were traveling in the Land Rover. One passenger, 18-year-old Franklin Barker West was pronounced dead on the scene.

According to the SCHP, Farr is being charged with felony DUI, possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance. Farr was taken to the Clarendon County Detention Center.
