Deputies In Newberry Co. Searching For 4 People Believed To be Armed & Dangerous

 NEWBERRY COUNTY, S.C. - The Newberry County Sheriff's Office is looking for 4 murder suspects, wanted out of Tennessee.

Deputies believe the they are in a wooded area off US 176 and SC-34 near Keitts Cross Roads.

A South Carolina Highway Patrolman saw them at a rest area of I-26 and started to chase them east bound into the City of Newberry and then onto SC 34.

A sheriff's deputy spiked the tires and the suspects bailed out of the car at SC 34 and US 176.

They are believed to be armed and dangerous.

The suspects are 3 white males, and 1 female. All are wearing dark pants. All are considered extremely dangerous.

Anyone living in the area should stay in place and be alert.

Bloodhounds, helicopters and SWAT will be in the area.

All Newberry County Schools will operate on a normal schedule today; however, all Mid Carolina area schools will operate in alert mode today due to the search.
