Charleston man sentenced to 10 years for arson

From our News Partners at WCBD-TV:

Thursday, Kenneth Boone of Charleston plead guilty to setting fire to a home in Hollywood and was sentenced to 10 year with time served.

Boone was also charged with arson for a house fire on Montagu Street in downtown Charleston, but the 9th Circuit Solicitor's office confirms that the Montigu Street arson charge was dropped.

"Mr. Boone made it very clear that he was very remorseful and apologized to all that were affected by his actions. He was embarrassed and very saddened from what his action had caused to all the victims, the fire department, the police and his own family," Boone's attorney David Aylor said.

"He's glad to put this behind him. He's taking responsibility for his actions, which he knows were wrong and inexcusable," Aylor added.
